About Brent Beckley
Brent Beckley is skilled in management consulting, and credits the success he’s made for himself with the experiences he’s had throughout his life.
While getting his undergraduate degree in business finance from the University of Montana in 2003, Brent was president of his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He was also a YMCA youth soccer coach and a Missoula food bank volunteer. After graduation, Brent moved to Costa Rica with five of his friends to create an online poker company called Absolute Poker. The company grew quickly after a merger and increased from six people to over 700 in six different locations across the globe. As director of client services and risk management, Brent’s main areas of expertise focused on fraud protection, payment processing and customer service. This was when he started to gain a real taste for how to run companies more efficiently.
Years later while investing in startups, Brent Beckley searched for experiences similar to the poker business. He knew that he wanted to maintain a COO-type role to help companies manage their operations, and because of his prior experience, he knew he had the skills needed to help business scale for growth, no matter how quickly that change happened. He also developed a passion for improving global e-commerce platforms and strategies, having the advantage of living through it at a young age, and it gave him the foresight of which decisions to make vs. not make in the future. He served as the director of global operations & e-commerce at Blanca Games, where he headed up all their business operations with a top-performing executive team and $100 million annual operating budget.
Eventually, he decided to start his own management consulting firm, Beckley & Company, which specializes in an upscale, boutique clientele. What makes him stand out from his competitors are the life experiences he’s already been through at such a young age, and how he thrived in such a rapid-paced industry. He understands the need to make decisions – not just quickly, but also correctly – in order to achieve lasting success. Unlike his competitors, he doesn’t advise leaning too heavily on analysis. He knows that while every problem is unique, solutions can still be standardized. He instead emphasizes a greater need on customer satisfaction and organizational restructuring. These are the ways to create happy customers, which should be the end-goal of any business. Brent Beckley knows first-hand what it’s like to navigate the turbulent waters of a start-up company, and he places a lot of value in the mistakes he’s personally made, as well as the ones he’s witnessed others make. It brings him joy to share this knowledge with clients to help them avoid the same issues.
